Bromley and Beckenham were depicted on an Ordnance Survey map in 1799. In 1806, John Cator dies, and his nephew, John Barwell Cator, inherits the Cator estates. In 1809, a map and estate book of the Burrell estates of Kelsey and Langley were published. The Beckenham estates of the Burrells of Langley, Kelsey, and sections of Beckenham and Foxgrove Manors are sold after the death of Sir Peter Burrell, Lord Gwydir. Beckenham Place was occupied by a number of tenants from 1840 until 1927. Beckenham Place Park was purchased by the London County Council from the Cator Estate in 1927, and was opened as a public park in 1929.
